Don't know where else to check so I bought I'd ask here, has anyone tried building the individual world gateways or portal or whatever it's called?  I want to build them for display but I can't get a good handle on pieces.

Check the Lego Dimensions subreddit. I remember some members over there had built a lot of them in LDD.

I'm not talking about the NFC reader, but the gray plate in unusual size and shape. Since coming back to Lego recently, I understand the flat pieces are called plates and the thick ones are called bricks.

Hi

It's fun to answer so late... I realized that it might be used in buildings to create skylights, I did it in a recent contest, I used a 8x8 trans-clear dish to cover it.

Potentialy, it could be used for decorative hollows between plants in a building, surrounded with curved fences
